Onnea Martialille täältäkin.

Toki onnea Martialille, ainoa pelaaja jonka suorituksia katsellessa on tullut syyskaudella hyvälle tuulelle!

He is our "next Messi".

Barcelonassa 19-vuotiaalla Messillä oli esikuvanaan muuan Ronaldinho. Martialilla puolestaan Unitedissa... Rooney.

MARTIAL IS PREMIER LEAGUE'S JOINT-FASTEST PLAYER

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial has equalled Jamie Vardy as the fastest footballer in this season's Barclays Premier League, according to records kept by EA Sports' Player Performance Index.

The French hot-shot managed to clock an incredible speed of 22 miles per hour over five seconds when Louis van Gaal’s Reds drew 3-3 against Newcastle at St James' Park earlier this month, which is exactly the same speed registered by Leicester forward and top scorer Vardy earlier in the campaign.

The EA Sports PPI is the Premier League's official rating index that measures a player's contribution to his team using six key indices. The intention is to "remove any opinion bias and only work with proven statistical measurements" which become more accurate as the season progresses.

Here are the Premier League’s six fastest players after 22 matches played:

FASTEST IN 2015/16 PREMIER LEAGUE - SPEED

1: ANTHONY MARTIAL 22 MPH (35,4 km/h)

2: JAMIE VARDY 22 MPH
3: JEFFREY SCHLUPP 21.9 MPH
4: KYLE WALKER 21.8 MPH
5: DIVOCK ORIGI 21.8 MPH
6: PAUL DUMMETT 21.8 MPH

The identity of United's fastest player has been debated among the first-team squad for the last 12 months with Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney all among the leading contenders. Yet that debate was eventually put to rest when the captain was clocked at 35 kilometres per hour during the 3-1 win over Aston Villa in April 2015, as explained in our statistical story

Interestingly, Rooney's figure from last campaign equates to 21.74 MPH and that is, of course, just slightly slower than Martial's top speed registered against the Magpies.

Martial close to goals record at United

Anthony Martial currently shares a goals record for players who started their first full season at Manchester United as teenagers with Brian Kidd and Wayne Rooney.

Martial, who was 19 at the start of 2015/16 and turned 20 in December, bagged his 16th and 17th goals of the campaign with a second-half brace during Tuesday night's 3-2 defeat to West Ham at Upton Park.

Kidd scored 17 goals during his own debut campaign back in 1967/68, when he broke into Sir Matt Busby's first team as a raw 18-year-old. He famously turned 19 on the day he netted in the European Cup final win over Benfica at Wembley.

Rooney also scored 17 times in his first season, 2004/05, starting with three goals on his debut against Fenerbahce at just 18 years and 335 days - a feat that made him the youngest player to register a Champions League hat-trick. Like Kidd, he scored for United on his 19th birthday, as Arsenal were defeated 2-0.

Norman Whiteside played his first two games at the close of 1981/82, but it was in the subsequent campaign, his first full one in the senior squad, when he wowed fans. The 17-year-old bagged 14 goals in 57 outings and became the youngest player to score in the League Cup final and the FA Cup final.

An 18-year-old Sir Bobby Charlton sits below Whiteside in our statistical table, after graduating through the ranks to score 12 goals in just 17 games during the 1956/57 season.

Andy Ritchie made his debut as a 17-year-old in December 1977 but only made four appearances that season. We consider 1978/79, when he scored 10 goals, to be his first full season. A 17-year-old Alex Dawson also scored 10 in 1957/58, including a hat-trick in the FA Cup semi-final replay against Fulham.

A 17-year-old Ryan Giggs registered seven goals in his first full season with the seniors and that places him level with his good friend Paul Scholes, who also scored seven as a 19-year-old in 1994/95.

United famously paid a world-record transfer fee for a teenager when Cristiano Ronaldo was bought from Sporting Lisbon in 2003 and the Portuguese forward went on to become the best player on the planet, although his six-goal haul during his debut season is less than half the amount registered by Martial.

Marcus Rashford has of course wowed supporters by scoring seven goals in 16 appearances since making his senior debut against FC Midtjylland back in February.

With one Barclays Premier League fixture and the Emirates FA Cup final left to play this season, Martial could yet score the one goal he needs to set a new record ahead of Kidd and Rooney.

Anthony Martial has admitted that his Euro 2016 was 'disastrous' as he struggled to make an impression in France's run to the final. The Manchester United striker played just 68 minutes during the tournament as he failed to transfer his red hot club form to the international stage. But the 20-year-old has pledged to learn from the experience and play better for his country in future.

"It was a very difficult Euros, we didn't manage to win the title and the coach only played me for 45 minutes - it was pretty disastrous," Martial told French TV station Telefoot.
"After that I spent it on the bench, but that happens. I am young, I am going to learn from that."
"It was the first time I had played so much for my club but that is not an excuse. I should have been better."

Martial marked his debut for United with 17 goals in all competition and France coach Didier Deschamps was confident he could make an impression.
But he played just 13 minutes of the opening group match against Romania, before being withdrawn for Paul Pogba at half-time in the second game with Albania. Martial then sat on the bench for the matches against Switzerland, the Republic of Ireland, Iceland and Germany.

And in the final with Portugal, he was thrown on for Moussa Sissoko with 10 minutes of extra time remaining, moments after Eder had scored the winner. But Martial recovered from the disappointment by scoring in France's 3-1 win over Italy in Bari in a friendly match on Thursday. France begin their World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign away to Belarus on Tuesday.
